Admission background

Linkage Research Programme

Admissions Guide

The Linkage Research Programme offers two fully online terms each year for high school students:

Summer Term

April to July

Winter Term

October to January

How to Apply to Become a Linkage Student

The first step in the admissions process is to attend an online information session. During this session, students will learn more about the Linkage Research Programme and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

These sessions provide detailed insights into the various academic subject areas available, including social sciences, STEM, and humanities. Students will also be guided on how to submit an application. This is an excellent chance to connect with Linkage staff and assess if the programme aligns with their goals and interests.

If, after attending the info session, you feel confident that the Linkage Research Programme is the right choice for you, you can then begin the application process. During the application process, you'll indicate four areas of research interest. We offer 30 areas in social sciences, STEM, and humanities.

Based on your application and the information you provide during your interview, our admissions team of experts will determine the best research concentration for you and you'll be notified when you are accepted of your research area.

The Different Paths to Linkage Application Results

When you apply to the Linkage Research Programme, there are three possible admission outcomes:

Waitlisted

If you are not offered conditional admission but show promise, your application will be placed on the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, your materials will be re-reviewed for consideration.

Conditional Admission

If your application shows exceptional talent, you will receive a conditional offer to join the programme. Your place will be confirmed once you and your parent(s) formally accept the offer and make a deposit.

Deny with Priority Consideration

If your application is not successful, you will receive priority consideration if you choose to reapply in the future. This allows you to refine your application and demonstrate your growth.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Linkage Education is dedicated to providing accessible opportunities for all students passionate about research. As part of our commitment to social impact, we allocate funds each year to offer full and partial need-based scholarships.

We hope to work closely with partner non-profit organisations and educational institutions to accurately assess financial needs. Through these partnerships and assessments, the Linkage Research Programme is committed to meeting 100% of the demonstrated financial need for all admitted scholars where financial need can be effectively evaluated.

We encourage you to sign up for an information session to learn more about our need-based scholarship opportunities and the application process.
